Rainbow Machine

"Michael Jones McKean, professor at the Virginia Commonwealth University, created a machine that makes artificial rainbows out of natural materials. The machine uses high-powered jet pumps and custom fountain nozzles to spray recycled rainwater into the air in such a way that it forms rainbows. The machine is solar-powered and generates renewable electricity"

Organic Architecture: The Nautilus by Javier Senosiain

The Nautilus, Mexico City 2007
"Here the plant is the spiral, which was molded to the topography for which outline was sketched the logarithmic spiral. The work in scale model generated numerous changes until finding the volume that requested the construction: The Nautilus...

It promotes the flight of steps in spiral, it continues through the lobby, it passes by the television room sheltered by the belly of the crustacean, and climbing by the snail-stairs one gets to the study from where one can get a glimpse of the mountainous landscape."
