Motoi Yamamoto

With the patience and precision greater than that of a mere human Motoi Yamamoto spends on the order of 50 hours creating floor installations made of salt. Meditatively piping out his work line by line Yamamoto reflects on his process: “Perhaps salt supported our lives in the distant past? Pershaps contained in salt is the memory of life itself?” His labyrinths swell and deflate with the moisture in the air and possess an other-worldliness and wonder of crop circle proportions.
